[London Fashion Week Hoopla]…Part 2
Perhaps I missed something, but there didn’t seem to be too many designers that showed at London Fashion Week this week. Of course there were the greats (like Gucci and Fendi whom I loved) and some designers that I hadn’t heard of before, but overall there just didn’t seem to be as many collections in London as there were in NY. Or maybe I’m just antsy to see what Viktor & Rolf debut…
Here’s some faves!
Gucci
David Koma
Fendi
Prada
Francesco Scognamiglio
Kinder Aggugini
And other collections I enjoyed…
Luisa Beccaria - Beautiful sheers & florals
Alberta Ferretti - gorgeous floral and taupe sheers
Naeem Khan – punches of color and tons of nods to Sari inspiration
Marios Schwab – loved the futuristic silhouettes & punches of orange and baby blue
Holly Fulton – Each piece was different, and while some of them were over done to me, I did like the versatility
[London Fashion Week Hoopla]…Part 1
So, the fashion week circus has moved to London where the collections are usually a bit more creative than in NY. So far, I’ve loved the color that seems to be in many of the collections. Plus there are a lot of interesting silhouettes. Here are some of my faves thus far…
Pringle of Scotland
Issa
Burberry Prorsum
Jonathan Saunders
I also enjoyed…
Jaeger London – chic collection of separates in jewel tones and silks
Louise Gray - for the appeal of pattern mixing and matching
Unique - tons of 70′s inspired halters and colors
Todd Lynn – always a fan of his utilitarian/futuristic jackets
