Loving…Verdura Cuffs

I think most fashion mavens want to own pieces of fashion history. The must have piece of the moment is re-issue of Coco Chanel’s classic cuff “The Fulco”. I’m loving this cuff mainly because of the history behind it. The cuff was created using the jewels from the gifts of Chanel’s past lovers. Talk about a way to put an ex’s gifts to use! Chanel went to the master craftsman Duke Fulco di Verdura (of the House of Verdura) and together they created the now iconic Fulco Cuff. The stones are set in a Byzantine inspired design and consist of Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, and Diamonds. It is gorgeous, I tell you…even though it would set one back $65,000. To purchase one, you even have to make an appointment! They say Chanel would layer the cuffs in sets of two – so classic, so Chanel.
