Inspiration of the Day: Hollywood’s Golden Age

Perhaps it has something to do with being in L.A. but as of late, I’ve been feeling pretty nostalgic for the era of Hollywood. That period of time in the 40’s and 50’s when glamour, style, talent, and class ruled movie-making. Costume Designers were integral parts of the industry and actors and actresses actually dressed to the nines no matter where they went. For women, the fashion was classy, yet sexy and for men it was dapper, yet masculine. So today, as I go about my adventures in Hollywood, I think that a great deal of my creative focus will be on reflecting upon that time in fashion and art when talent was necessary and class was expected – that time during Hollywood’s Golden Age.
