Gotta Have It…Urban Outfitters Metallic Streak Wallet

I lost my wallet this week and its been way more hurtful than I thought it would  be. It was a terribly snowy day and I decided on the bus ride home from work that I would buy some cute snowboots. To make a long story short, I think between purchasing the boots, getting in the car, and leaving the Payless parking lot, I think I forgot I’d put the wallet on top of the car…and drove off! It wasn’t even the matter of losing my cards and my cash, but rather it was the mere fact of losing the wallet itself. That wallet was special to me because it reminded me of my first trip to L.A. and I bartered it down to $10 (from $25)! It also had this unique snakeskin print that made it totally me. Plus I had my IDs from college in there and a few other little special items.

Oh well, that’s the breaks I guess. The one upside is that now I need a new wallet (even though I prefer my old one) so I scoured the internet and found my replacement – this Metallic Streak Wallet from UO.

I’m going to buy it…but not until my new debit/check card arrives. (Grrr!) Anyway, this wallet is similar to my beloved lost one and appears to be just as nice. It’s pretty too.

I’m quite certain that that wallet is somewhere in that parking lot. But with all the snow and the snow plows, the chances of me finding it are next to none. I do have hope though that maybe it’ll be under all that snow when it melts in the spring…either that or someone will find it and turn it in.

So let me impart some vital knowledge to you that I learned this week –

  • Payless does not have cute snow boots.
  • Snow is sent from Satan.
  • Never put anything on top of your car.
  • People are actually quite helpful when you’ve lost your wallet.

I miss my wallet…but alas, there’s a reason for everything.
