Artist of the Day…Jessica Snow

Today’s artist is painter and papercrafter, Jessica Snow. Snow hails from San Francisco, CA and much of her work is a combination of paintings, works on paper, and installation pieces. I choose to feature Snow because her abstract work is quite vibrant and has an almost 80’s retro quality to it.

"Restless Linearity"

Snow uses a lot of geometric shapes in her work and sees painting as a “psychic screen, onto which consciousness is projected.” Now that I look at her work more closely, it does have quite a organic quality in the sense that some of the paintings look like thoughts…what do you think?

Very neat!
