Designer of the Day…Stella McCartney

So…I’ve always loved no fuss fashion. It is totally me to have the basis of my out fit be simple, but then I’ll throw on an awesome jacket or top full of glitter or a really colorful pair of pants or earrings or a really unique graphic tee. I definitely appreciate showstopping wardrobe pieces and I’ll wear them when the time is right, but not for everyday. That’s why I love Stella McCartney. Her collections are always ultra feminine, but not boring (a la Michael Kors…). Plus she’s totally into sustainability and animal rights, but she has not sacrificed great design.

I’m featuring her Spring/Summer 2010 rseort collection because I really love the choices of sun yellow, royal blue, taupe, and glitter. Plus she mixed fabrics and lengths to cover that limbo area of hot/cold that comes between the seasons. My favorite piece is the floral knit sweater.

I’m totally looking out for Gilt Group sales on this collection!
