The Life of Ms. Sheree (3.8.10)

Good morning Sparkleshockers! I hope all is well. It’s another Monday morning so I’m sure this post find you at work or school or maybe you’re lucky and have the day to yourselves! I do wish I could say that, but I’m at work – gotta make that paper, haha! I must say though, that I’m not terribly upset to be at work this morning. My weekend was quite nice and although I’m sleepy, I’m in great spirits – for a Monday anyway!

My weekend was great though. Friday evening found me prepping the costumes for our final weekend of “A Burial at Thebes”. The show closed on Sunday, which is always bittersweet, but now I’m free to pursue other projects! It was an awesome play to do though. On Saturday, Legacy had our first preview performance at the Mall of America and it was off the chain! Of course, the Mall is going to be packed on a Saturday afternoon so we got great publicity and there are outstanding offers to do other shows now as well. My jackets for “Jam” will have to be remade because the twill I choose is far too wrinkle prone and catches lint easily – which is not ideal for a production which requires a lot of costume transport. So today, I get to go to SR Harris (an amazing fabric warehouse) to select a different material – all the years I’ve been in MN, and I haven’t been there yet! Needless to say, I’m excited to shop for the show.

Speaking of shopping, I couldn’t pass up the chance to treat myself since I was at the the Mall of America all day on Saturday. I love Forever 21’s basic tees and tanks, so I got one of those in about every color – at $3.50 a piece, how could I not!? I also got some cute hair accessories from H&M as well. I did face a shopping disappointment though when I checked out the new Jean Paul Gaultier collection at Target. I was not impressed. The amazingly cute yellow dress I wanted? It felt like a garbage bag. Let’s just say the fabrics  were super cheap and not worth the money. Oh well, at least I have Zac Posen to look forward to!

How was your weekend? Hope you all have a good week!
