The Life of Ms. Sheree (3.22.10)
Hello everyone! I hope this Monday morning finds you in good spirits! The weather here in Minneapolis is absolutely gorgeous, so it was nice to step outside and put on sunglasses! I hope the weekend went well for you all as well. Mine was absolutely wonderful. I went to see Alice in Wonderland, I spent time with someone very special, and I celebrated my mom’s birthday – just her and I. It’s funny how when you get older, you start to see your parents in a different light and since for the moment, it’s just me and my mother, we’re learning a lot about how each other truly is. It was nice to celebrate her birthday and it was nice that I could actually get her a real gift (a spa package gift certificate)! She’s never had a real massage (I get them for myself every birthday), so she should really enjoy it.
Like I said last week, it’s nice that the only show I have to focus on now is Legacy (tickets are now on sale!), so I finished up the last two jackets for Jam and we have a production meeting this Thursday to finalize set design. I will be really starting some shopping for the show within the next few weeks. First I plan on getting the materials that I’ll be altering and then I plan on purchasing fabric and patterns and such. Thriller is going to be my biggest task because I’m going for this decaying Edwardian look….should be fun – but lots of work! Costuming is one of my loves though so it’s all good.
I found a fun little survey coutesy of a really neat blog – The Beautiful Distress of Mathematics, so I’ll be posting some bits of it in the next few weeks…have an excellent week and stay Sparkleshocked!
If I were a month, I’d be August.
If I were a day of the week, I’d be Friday.
If I were a time of day, I’d be that sliver of time when the sun is just beginning to rise.
If I were a planet, I’d be Saturn.
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a sea otter.
Never discourage anyone…who continually makes progress, no matter how slow. – Plato
