Artist of the Day…Betsy Walton

Today’s artist is the quite whimsical Betsy Walton. I wanted to feature her works because I love the use of color – there’s always a pop of a neon somewhere in her paintings. Plus they always have some sort of fun subject matter like playful woman or peaceful nature scenes.

Most of Walton’s works are done in acrylic paint and you can see many influences in her work including American Folk, Byzantine, and geometric abstraction. Whatever she paints, I’m loving the work of this Portland, OR artist…I would love to own a print!

Such fun!
