Artist of the Day…Philippe Jestin

Great artist to share today…Philippe Jestin. I’m really enjoying his works that utilize resin paint on wood because they allow for such awesome textural pieces! I love working with resin (mostly for costume jewelry), and I know how versatile this material can be.

Jestin studied visual art in France and has exhibited in galleries around the world. In his artist’s statement, Jestin says that he “…likes to think of visual fluidity…seeing and moving through accepted perception…” that simple fact is what makes his works so intriguing…

The color and texture of these resin on wood artworks are so awesome to me…would love to own one!
