Designer of the Day…Todd Lynn

Edge, goth, and amazing tailoring surrounds the work of today’s designer, Todd Lynn. I wanted to feature his work because while my personal style is definitely towards more full silhouettes and softer fabrics, I love to do a complete 180 sometimes and that is where stuff like Todd Lynn’s would come in. He creates the most amazing structured garments and I love how futuristic some of his designs look.

Lynn’s main customers are the eliet of rock n’ roll – he’s clothed everyone from Bono to Marilyn Manson to Mick Jagger. I also noticed one of his amazing jackets in Janet’s “Make Me ” video (I hear he’s a personal favorite of her’s). Lynn launched his collection in 2006 with menswear that was meant to embody “the edge and dark beauty that is rock n’ roll”. He’s since expanded to include womenswear and has made his great pieces a bit more accessible to rock n’ roll wannabes by selling them at high end stores like Barney’s in NYC.

I find great inspiration in all facets of style and fashion. I would love to own one of Lynn’s amazing jackets…they are so cool and perfect for those days when I feel like causing danger. Great stuff!
