Artist of the Day…Dan McPharlin

I collect old school sci fi novels. Why? Because the book cover artwork is usually so retro, yet have such a dusty furistic look to them that I just have to have one! That is why I wanted to feature Dan McPharlin as today’s artist – his illustrations have that retro/scientific/future style that I love. I first discovered McPharlin when I saw this album cover from one of my favorite drum n’ bass artists, Prefuse 73

I’m also digging his minature cardboad sculptures of radios, synthesizers, and other tech devices. These are also after my heart since they’re minatures and geeky!

Retro sci fi art + vibrant color? Yes, please!
