[There Was a Crooked House…]…The Hotel Inntel

Check out this interesting piece of architecture by Netherlands firm WAM Architecten. It is a hotel (Hotel Inntel) and it’s inspired by this Monet painting, “The Blue House”…

From “The Blue House” to this….

The inspiration for this hotel lies in the fact that the architect, Wilfried Van Winden wanted guests to feel like they were in a home away from home…hence the “houses” stacked on on top of the other. This building has been getting both praise and criticism for the same reason – the design. I personally think it’s neat and I think it captures that Dutch aesthetic. What do you think?
